What you can do with the software, and how the paid pieces work. The detailed agreements live where they belong; this is the honest summary.
The software
Solutions Factory software is proprietary. It is licensed to clients under a written agreement, and the licence is what lets you run it on your own infrastructure and hold your own database. There is no open-source grant and no right to redistribute it.
Self-hosting is a deployment model here, not a licence: the software runs on hardware you control, and it keeps running there for as long as your licence stands, including in a month when you are not paying us for anything else. The specific grant, term and support commitments are set out in your agreement — ask on a call for the current terms.
Note: software in this estate was previously offered under the MIT License. That grant was withdrawn for new distribution on 2026-08-30. Copies obtained under the earlier licence are governed by the terms in force when they were obtained; if that affects you, get in touch.
The managed tier
If we operate the software for you, that runs under a separate managed-services agreement: a flat fee per workspace, defined SLAs, and the operating responsibilities written down. Ask on a call for the current terms and figures.
Inference
Inference is billed by the tier you choose. On the SF-default tier, Solutions Factory bills you per token at the published retail rate. On BYOK, you contract with Anthropic directly and we bill nothing for inference. On the Sovereign tier, inference runs on your own hardware and there is no inference charge at all. Delivery engagements
SF Foundry runs under its own engagement agreement — a setup fee plus a monthly retainer, scoped per engagement. The artifacts we build are deployed into infrastructure you own.
